NSW: Man loses part of finger protecting wife
SYDNEY, Dec 14 AAP - A man has had part of his finger bitten off as he fought to stop
two men abducting his wife in Sydney's west.
Police say a 26-year-old woman was with her 24-year-old husband at their unit in Everton
Road, Strathfield, when two men allegedly forced their way in about 11.30pm (AEDT) on
Sunday.
Macquarie Radio reported one of the intruders was her brother, who apparently wanted
his sister to return to India because her family is unhappy about her marriage.
When he struggled to prevent the intruders snatching his wife, the 24-year-old man
allegedly had the top of his finger bitten off and suffered head injuries.
He was treated at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and the woman is assisting police with
their inquires into the incident.
