NSW:Flags burnt at Palestinian protest
Thousands of protesters have marched on the US Consulate in central Sydney.
The noisy demonstration is calling for the HOWARD government to pressure Israel toseek an international peace keeping force for Palestine.
Up to 5,000 demonstrators filled George Street, Shouting Free Palestine, and wavingflags and placards.
A spokesman for the Palestinian community says they're outraged at Israel's invasionof the Palestinian west bank.
The protesters are marching from town Hall towards the Israeli consulate by way ofthe American consulate.
The protest was organised by Sydney's Palestine community and is supported by trade unions.
